Some of you might know the movie "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty". In that movie there is a photographer, and he is spotting snowleopards and photographs them. He is sitting alone, on a mountain and sees them walking on the other mountain. At this moment, I feel the exact same. I'm sititng here totally alone, and on the opposite mountain, about 900 feet from me, there are 2 snowleopards lying down there. I'm sitting on a steep side of a mountain, nobody around me, you can't here anything, except for myself. I will show you the environment and then where the snowleopards are.

Ice Hockey is one of the favourite sports of the people in Ladakh (besides football/soccer and cricket) and is the only sport played in the winter!

You would think I am standing on the sidewalk or something while filming all the other people, but believe me, I'm not! I am, with my 193cm (6ft3), on average at least one head bigger than most of the people here in Ladakh. And that is fun when the market is crowded!

The first month of the Tibetan Calender is holy and most Buddhists won't eat meat or drink alcohol at all. Every year, halfway the first month, Buddhists start to pray and kneel for 2,5 days in Leh, Ladakh, India. From 4am to 6pm they will pray and kneel, with some breaks for tea and lunch (on the 3rd day only from 4am tot 12am). In these 2,5 days they will cover a distance of 8km! All this for a good karma, and not only for themselves but for every living being in Ladakh. In 2014 Gochak was from the 15th of March to the 17th of March and more than 1300 people participated.

My first car, in India, a jeep, with the steering wheel on the right sight, driving on the left, avoiding dogs, cows, donkeys, horses, pika's and some lama's (the homo sapiens version). The roads are a bit different, but I love it!

Een douche nemen doen ze hier in Ladakh zo'n 1 keer per maand (zeker in de winter wanneer alle leidingen bevroren zijn). Het water wordt in de winter uit één van de lokale pompen gehaald en de rest is zoals in het filmpje te zien is. Iets meer werk dan die knop omdraaien in Nederland.
